MICHAEL JACKSON was hoping to do more acting back in the ’80s, and there was one role he REALLY wanted . . . and no, it wasn’t on “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” or “Reading Rainbow”.
He wanted to play James Bond. (???)
A celebrity agent named Michael Ovitz told Britain’s “Mirror” tabloid that Michael said it was his dream to play Bond.
But Ovitz told him, quote, “[You’re] thinly built, you’re too sensitive, and you won’t be credible as a brutal block of stone.”
What would make Ovitz think Michael was too sensitive for the part? Well, right before the Bond thing came up, Michael’s hat fell in some guacamole. Ovitz and his business partner started laughing, and Michael stormed out of the room.
Ovitz had to chase Michael down end explain to him for 15 MINUTES that they weren’t laughing at him.
