New flicks for the Long Weekend

This weekend, the opening of yet another Winnie the Pooh movie and we’re not sure if the other one is a “spy” movie or…chick flick.

“Disney’s Christopher Robin”  (PG)

Christopher Robin leaves the Hundred Acre Wood, grows up and loses sight of his priorities when work causes him to neglect his family.  So Winnie the Pooh and his other friends come to OUR world to help him remember what’s really important.

Ewan McGregor plays Christopher Robin, Hayley Atwell from “Agent Carter” is his wife, Brad Garrett is Eeyore, and Peter Capaldi from “Doctor Who” is Rabbit.


“The Spy Who Dumped Me”  (R)

Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon are best friends dragged into international espionage after Mila finds out that her ex-boyfriend Justin Theroux was actually a spy.

“Daily Show” correspondent Hasan Minhaj is one of the spies they run into in Europe, Gillian Anderson is the head of British Intelligence, and Paul Reiser and Jane Curtin play Kate McKinnon’s parents.
